‘타미즈‘, 정규 1집 [@goodboytamiz]

안녕하세요, 타미즈 라고 합니다.
늦은 나이에 군대를 전역하고 음악을 하면서
우여곡절이 정말 많았습니다.
스타트를 늦게 끊었다는 생각에 강박적으로
음악 작업을 하며 컴퓨터 앞에서 밤을 새는 것이
부지기수 였고, 그렇게 이런 저런 상황에
무조건적으로 부딪히며 참 많은 곡을
발매하고 여기까지 온 것 같습니다.

어린 시절 부터 음악을 해보고 싶었으나,
보수적이고 강압적인 한국 사회에서 진정한 저를
마주하기에 그 때 타미즈는 너무나도 나약한 소년이었습니다. 그렇게 어른들, 사회의 니즈를 만족시키기 위해 열심히 공부하고 자책하며 저를 많이 감춰왔던 것 같습니다.

음악을 하면서 너무 좋았던 건, 나라는 사람을 있는 그대로 표현하는 것이 경쟁력이 된다는 점이었습니다. 아티스트 타미즈가 걸어가는 발자국 그대로가 그냥 답이라는 것, 나의 있는 그대로의 모습을 팬들은 오히려 특별함으로 느끼고 사랑해준다는 점, 등 모든 것이 재밌었던 것 같습니다. 물론 한편으로 유명세를 갖는다는 것이 후에는 부담으로 다가올 수도 있겠지만 나라는 사람을 받아들이고 나의 장점을 바라볼 수 있게 해준, 힙합 그리고 음악에게 감사를 전합니다.

그럼에도 아직도 저는 사람들의 시선이 두렵기도 합니다. 어린시절 부터 있었지만 당시에는 인지하지 못했던 강박증과 불안장애는 아직도 저를 괴롭힙니다. 그래서 이러한 착한아이컴플렉스에 대한 이야기를 언젠가 제 음악 커리어 중에 한 번은 풀고 싶었습니다. 그리고 이는 저 뿐 아니라 다수의 한국 사람들이 겪는 고통이라는 생각이 듭니다.

음악도 재밌지만, 저는 어떠한 경우에도 삶이 우선시 되어야 한다고 생각합니다. 음악이란 수단을 통해 저의 삶이 조금이라도 풍요로워 질 수 있어서 참 다행이라는 생각도 많이 듭니다. 저와 같이 이러한 생각을 겪는 여러 사람들에게 제 삶의 이야기가 도움이 되었으면 좋겠습니다. 여러분 대신 삶을 표현하는, 인스타그램 하듯 음악을 하는 아티스트가 되고 싶습니다. 정규 1집 이다보니 장난을 조금은 덜 치겠습니다.
